KPC has co-invested with Blackstone Tactical Opportunities (“BTO”) to acquire JOA Group (“JOA”), a leading French casino operator, from a group of investors led by Alchemy Partners.
JOA is one of the largest casino operators in France with a national network of 22 medium-sized casinos and an online sports betting platform. In addition to traditional gaming activities, JOA’s amenities include restaurants, sports bars, hotels, cinemas and bowling alleys, positioning JOA sites as leisure facilities for the community.
In 2016, JOA employed over 1,500 people and welcomed four million visitors.
KPC will be working in close partnership with BTO and management to support the business’s continued transformation into a market leading, innovative and differentiated leisure offering and to fulfil its ambition to consolidate the French casino market where there are a large number of independent operators as well as considering pan-European consolidation opportunities.

The General Partner and the Administrator are entitled to hold and process your personal data on the following lawful grounds:
• for the legitimate interests of the funds managed or advised by Kings Park Capital such as running the firm’s business, managing portfolio companies, carrying out Anti-Money Laundering checks and fulfilling the firm’s Know Your Client Due Diligence process - provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests;
• where the Applicant is a natural person, the processing is necessary to comply with our respective contractual duties to you under the terms of our subscription agreement with you and all supplemental agreements thereto;
• to comply with legal and regulatory requirements;
• (on exceptional occasions) where we have obtained your consent; and
• on very rare occasions, where it is needed in the public interest.
Some of the grounds for processing described above will overlap and there may be several grounds which justify our use of personal data.
We will explain to you when the provision of particular information is mandatory, including the possible consequences of not providing particular information, for example, which prevents us from proceeding with a transaction involving you.
